Jiahua Netherlands BV is a subsidiary of Jiahua INC, which is a family owned specialty chemicals company. Core competence of Jiahua is alkoxylation. And it supplies nonionic ethoxylate surfactants, polyether polyols, construction chemicals, UV monomers and other specialty chemicals. It is headquartered in Shanghai, China and has strategically located 8 manufacturing sites around east coast of China. Jiahua has sales network in every continent of the world and employs more than 1000 professionals. Out of them around 200 persons are working in R&D.
We are looking for a lab technician for 3 months with possible extension of 3 more months.
What you will be doing as a lab chemist/technician -:
As a lab technician you will be responsible for surfactants testing. You will carry out characterization of various Jiahua surfactants such as wetting behaviour, foaming behaviour, cloud point, surface tension, hydroxyl value, pH, viscosity, density, melting point, gelling behaviour, water content, etc. Similarly you might have to perform a bit more complex tasks such as preparation of various cleaning formulations and their properties and performance testing.
You are highly motivated, curious professional. The successful candidate will need to quickly learn and coordinate with R&D manager for performing his/her duties.
The successful candidate will be supporting person for generating results in the lab.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The Principle Duties:

• Perform various lab experiments and testing activities, such as testing of surfactants, preparation of cleaning formulations, their properties and performance testing;
  
• Maintain Chemicals and consumables inventory in the lab, update the list of chemicals;
  
• Coordinate with R&D managers and perform tasks as per priority;
  
• Properly maintain the results/data generated in written and digital format;
  
• Provide input to testing activities and prepare standard operating protocol documents.
  

The Individual:

• HABO graduate/bachelor in ChemistryMBO;
  
• 0-3 years’ of hands-on experience of working in a Chemistry lab;
  
• Work safely inside the lab taking all precautions and using all required PPEs;
  
• Experience with instruments/testing techniques handling and testing;
  
• Capable of using Microsoft Office tools: Excel, Word, PowerPoint;
  
• Knowledge of Polymer Chemistry would be nice;
  
• Fast learner, Hands on mentality and action orientated - Should be able to follow up on feedback to ensure positive outcomes;
  
• Keep accurate record of data, results generated from testing and experimentation;
  
• Professional communication skills – Should be able to communicate with team members about performing tasks and results obtained.
  

Compensation/Salary
The selected candidate will receive salary in accordance with Market standard and experience.
