Order Picker Part-Time

Your workday starts at 06:00 AM every morning. You clock in and attend the daily briefing, where the team leader discusses safety and improvement points. After that, you check the screen to see when you'll finish, which varies between 10:00 and 12:00 each day. You also find out how many carts need to be processed. Then, you put on your headphones or use your terminal and hop onto your electric cart. Through your headphones or terminal, you'll hear where to go. You follow the numbers in the hall and pick up your cart. Your task is to move the flowers and plants from the cart to the correct locations. After that, you go to the final destination and drop off the cart. Before leaving your spot, you scan the barcode on the floor and check if the number of flowerpots/plant pots matches. It's now time for your first break, and you chat with your colleagues. After a few more hours your workday ends and you get to go home with plenty more time in the day to do other things.

Main Responsibility of This Role:In this role, you ensure that flowers and plants are placed in the right locations. If this role is not filled, work comes to a halt, carts aren't moved on time, and chaos can occur. This causes delays and a disorganized workday. You make sure everything runs smoothly by focusing on:

• Picking up and moving carts to the correct locations.
• Scanning the barcodes on the floor to track everything properly.
• Checking if the number of flowerpots/plant pots is accurate.

We offer 2 training days where the logistics process will be explained. You work during the week and have weekends off. You can choose to work 5 days a week or just 3, depending on what works best for you. The minimum number of workdays is 2 per week. If you work 5 days, you'll work 20-25 hours per week.

A Certificate of Conduct (VOG) may be required as part of the selection process.

Through Actief Werkt!, you will be working at Royal FloraHolland in Aalsmeer. Royal FloraHolland has been connecting flower growers and buyers for over 100 years and is the largest flower auction in the world. We operate in 3 locations: Naaldwijk, Rijnsburg, and Aalsmeer. By applying for this position, you are applying for the Aalsmeer location. Actief Werkt! has an office at the flower auction, right next to the work floor. This makes it easy to stop by for a chat or if you have any questions. We are available Monday to Friday to assist you!

Wat wij jou bieden:

• Salary: €16.04 gross per hour or an all-in salary of €17.06 gross per hour

• Weekly payment

• Full reimbursement of your public transport pass if you work more than 4 days a week

• Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer for journeys over 5 km one way

• Once per quarter, you'll receive a plant gift from Royal FloraHolland

• 8.33% holiday pay

Wat vragen wij van je:

• At least 18 years old

• At least 1.60 meters tall (for your safety on the work floor)

• Able to understand and speak Dutch or English well
