Tata Steel
Graduate Program Engineering (start april 2023)
Details van de functie
Tata Steel wants to be a CO2-neutral steel producer in 2050. Based on that ambition, we are working towards being a leading steel company that is sustainable in every respect. We want to continuously improve the way we produce steel, and we need you to help us!
What will you be doing?
The Graduate Program Engineering lasts 2 years. Throughout this period, you will gain insight into the investment projects and engineering challenges in our company and how we plan to produce steel more sustainably. There is also a great deal of focus on personal development training. During the program, you will be given more and more responsibility and follow training courses to master your engineering and project-related skills.
In the Projects & Technical Consultancy (PTC) department, we are responsible for all projects on the Tata Steel IJmuiden site. This includes making steel with hydrogen, implementing the latest casting machines (CCM23) and the revamp of Hoogoven 6. So, do you want to make a real impact and be present at the start of all investment, maintenance and sustainability projects? In that case, we are looking for you!
To guarantee the steepest possible learning curve, during your graduate program you will work in 3 departments and change position 3 times. The program will be tailored to you. Together, we will explore your interests and development potential. We have specific projects, but we also expect you to highlight possible improvements. To implement these improvements, you will sit at the table with various parties: from PTC colleagues to senior managers from our plants.
What makes this graduate program unique?
During the graduate program, you will be given the chance in various roles to be part of increasingly large and more complex projects, focused on more sustainable production, product development, performance improvement and technical innovation. You can make an impact by helping to reduce our CO2 emissions, reducing noise nuisance and improving the performance of our plants. Do you want to be part of the change?
Do you recognise yourself in this?
What do we offer you?
Fair is fair. In our graduate program, we ask a lot of you, but you get a lot in return:
What will be your working environment?
The Projects & Technical Consultancy (PTC) department is the internal project and technical consultancy of Tata Steel in IJmuiden. We deliver services for the implementation and continuous improvement of the production plants of Tata Steel IJmuiden. As part of Engineering & Site Services, we are the proactive and professional supplier of project management and engineering services based on specific process installation and professional knowledge.
PTC is organised in various groups, each with their own specialist field of knowledge. All the projects we work on are multidisciplinary. This also means that you work closely with all the disciplines as well as with the various factories. We don't need to always agree on the route we will take to achieve the best results. However, we are all united by our desire to get the best results for Tata Steel. The loyalty towards Tata Steel and the site in IJmuiden is something that makes us truly unique.
Your group
Together with your graduate group, you will start work on 1 April 2023. You will all start in different departments and/or in different teams, but will do the training courses together, often meeting up in graduate consultations and peer-to-peer reviews. Because you rotate through different departments, you will soon meet lots of new colleagues.
