We are currently looking for a skilled and experienced Section Builder / Steelworker to join our team in the ship repair industry. This is a hands-on position requiring precision, strength, and in-depth knowledge of ship construction and steelwork. You will be involved in the disassembly, modification, and reassembly of ship sections, following detailed technical drawings.Over de opdrachtgever
Key Responsibilities:
- Cutting and burning steel plates from ship structures based on technical drawings.
- Bending, aligning, and preparing plates for further assembly.
- Tack welding and fitting steel plates and profiles.
- Checking and verifying fit-ups and dimensions according to specifications.
- Working independently from technical drawings.
- Performing basic welding tasks (tack welding at a minimum).
