As a WMS Project Manager, you are responsible for the local implementation of a new Warehouse Management System. You work closely with logistics teams, IT, finance and operations. You switch easily between the warehouse floor and senior leadership, and you ensure the site is fully prepared for the ERP and WMS rollout in 2026. You manage planning, quality and adoption. You make sure processes make sense, data is accurate, hardware is in place and employees are well trained. Thanks to your approach, this implementation becomes the blueprint for the global rollout in 2027.What You Will Do in This Role
- Manage the WMS project plan, including planning, budget and risks.
- Ensure all milestones align with the broader ERP programme.
- Lead the process design for the Rotterdam warehouse.
- Support the setup of standard barcode and scanning processes.
- Support data cleaning and data migration towards cutover.
- Assess site infrastructure and select appropriate hardware.
- Prepare the warehouse for the new system (layout, bin structure).
- Organise SIT, integration testing and UAT.
- Develop and guide the cutover plan and dry runs.
- Lead the hypercare phase and hand over to operations and support.
- Build and maintain a stakeholder map across all involved departments.
- Develop communication, training and work instructions and ensure proper controls.

Wat vragen wij van je:
Below is what you need to be successful in this role.
- 5-8 years of experience with complex WMS implementations.
- Proven experience in warehouse and logistics environments (e.g. industry, MRO, spare parts, marine, aviation or energy).
- Experience across the full project lifecycle: process design, configuration, integrations, testing, data migration, cutover and stabilisation.
- Familiarity with project methodologies, including budget control, RAID management and reporting.
- Comfortable working both on the warehouse floor and with senior stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills, change management experience and the ability to guide teams.
